i just finished my LS/V Setup in august. Used all OEM parts except hardware, all ARP. JDM ITR Pistons for the valves to meet the reliefs in the dome, ARP rod bolts, main studs and head studs. A little over 4000 miles and its still running strong, and i've brought it to about 8600 rpm's.

Take the time, do the research, and you'll find out the little knicks and crannies that need to be worked out to make it reliable, and soon enough you'll realize that you're gonna be taking a motor apart to better the end result.

And if done right, an LS/V can be an amazing powerplant.
