9003 is equivalent to an H4 but you should read the info in this writeup:

My understanding is that putting those in stock housings don't work worth a darn. You either have to modify the stockers or buy aftermarket projector housings instead.

If you want them done right, there are no shortcuts to my knowledge. I've not done this mod myself, but I've done enough reading to know this much. And I've also seen alot of people on here whining about aftermarket setups being horrible with glare, so make sure you read up on this really good before droppin your hard earned $ on this. I bought Phillps X-treme Power bulbs to try in my EK since I already had Crystal Vision Ultras and liked them. Kinda pricey for 2 bulbs, but ALWAYS cheaper than payin a deductible for your insurance co!

The only correct way to do it is a retro fit, however, hid's in stock headlights do put more light out. At the same time they put a lot of glare out.
using sheilds and aiming them correctly will help out a lot. My thing is even cars the are factory hid blind the **** out of you, so what the hell.

I had 6000k hid's, i dont have them anymore because they started to turn pink and i didnt want to deal with them.
Keep it at 4300k,5000k, or 6000k. I say that for a few reasons, 1, your putting more light on the ground the with 8000k or a 10000k+ bulb. 2, Cops wont really mess with you, as long as they are aimed and not right in their eyes, and 3, Blue just looks bad. I hate "ricer blue"

agreed with projectors. i have been looking at the projector install on these universal kits for a while and i am glad i tripped across this. props on the install.
HIDs are great light sources but the projector is a must. Motorized kits allow you to keep the functionality of your HI/LO beams. it would be an H4 motorized kit. since the kit only uses one plug, on many cars we also install a second set of hid fogs and wire them into the unused headlight plug. everything is ran off a relay anyway.

i wanted to put yellow h.i.d. bulbs in but have them as my blinker bulbs. does anyone know if its just the same exact install as normal h.i.d.s just that its on the blinker bulb? and i have a 96 civic hatch what bulb would i need? and what like "k" is for yellow

not only are they entirely too bright and an unnecessary "improvement", but xenon gas bulbs are not meant to be turned off and on like a standard incandescent bulb. they take more time to light up. the lifespan of a hid bulb under such circumstances would be exceptionally low. for the sake of other honda drivers who are trying to kill the uncle bens stereotype, just leave your blinkers alone.
