Default What are the signs of a bad fuel pressure regulator?

What happens to the car (symptoms) once the FPR goes bad?

never seen one go bad, but i would say the pressure would either be very high or very low, depending on what went bad inside it.

If the diaphram is ruptured, it can cause a rich condition by letting fuel pass through the vacuum line to the manifold.

It could. When you shut the engine off the fuel pressure would bleed off through the regulator and puddle up in the manifold. It's easy to check: just pull off the vacuum line to see if there is any gas in it.

The vacuum line shouldn't have any fuel in it.
