What should we do next to the car?
This is the car that won first place in the JDM class at Import Expo 3 in Houston. Just thought we'd get some input on what we can do to better the car for future events. I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone may have. Oh, and keep in mind this car is also going to be a turbocharged road race car. So any engine, suspension, etc. setup suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

good looking car. If your going to be road racing then the best thing to do is twek all the suspenson stuff first. I looks like you have the good motor. put some good tires on it.

My friends and I did the buildup. A small group of friends. I figured if I had more, then it'd be even tighter.

Re: What should we do next to the car? (dinosa21)
Glad you like the car. I've done a bunch of stuff to the suspension already. Cusco rear strut bar, Cusco rear lower tie bar, factory Honda front strut bar, ST sway bars Fr & Rr, Do-Luck interior brace bar, Skunkworks Coilovers on Tokico blues. Tried to fit on a Cusco, Tanabe, etc. front lower tie bar but none clear the 4 into 1 header. Next on the list is an 8 point rollcage (welded in), JIC coilovers, Cusco C-pillar tie bar, and ES bushings. I have Falken Azenis tires by the way.

Re: What should we do next to the car? (One Honda)
They are not Sinkos. They are RNRs that we had powder coated bronze. We did the same with the valve cover and front strut bar. Oh yeah and we have CTR moldings. We didn't paint them so they'd match the kit, interior, and side mirrors.

The brakes are Type R spec. We left it 4 lug for the wheels. Next on the list is an Endless brake system.

Re: What should we do next to the car? (singlecam screamer)
Turbo for road racing?? Well, I dunno what type of road racing you are referring to, but a turbo wouldn't be that great for road racing unless it was a smaller turbo. I know you couldn't be turbo if you were in the Honda Challenge. I would definetly not recommend a turbo for autox'ing, that would actually be worse! If you are planning to go in a straight line, I say get this biggest turbo you can, but if you want to road race stay the way you are or possibly look into getting a small 16G, but nothing larger..you wil regret it even if it was ball bearing.
Looks like you already have a nice engine, so here are the mods I would start for strictly road racing. (Again, I dunno what you have so bear with me):
Relocate the battery to the back, enclosing it in a approved vented box(Moroso)
Remote oil filter
oil cooler
JIC Majik or Tein suspension
26mm+ front sway bar
22mm+ rear sway bar(I like the Progress 25mm personally)
Z10 traction bars for the front
rear upper tie bars if you don't already have them
ITR master cylinder
disc brake upgrade for the back
larger calipers are more important than larger rotors IMO, even if the rotors were slotted. I would only get these(larger rotors) if the car was strictly a race car
various guages(water temp, oil temp, fuel pressure, and oil pressure would be my choice)
also think about getting a Wideband O2 for tuning
Thats about all I can think of for now, hope it helps!

Re: What should we do next to the car? (CR-X)
im not feelin the CF bumper
the only advice i can give is, actually use the road race parts for their purpose from time to time, then you'll be ok and even more unique alongside the other usual showcars

That car should have won best in class for unfinished paint job look, and fifteen different color scheme class. Whatever, these show guys...I'll never understand them.
