Default What should my FPR be set to? I think I'm running rich - 1999 Civic Si

I have a 1999 Civic Si, basically stock b16 with just boltons. My car had a B&M FPR, but I don't know what to set it to. The previous owner said it may be running a little bit rich, and it's been like that for over a year now, and I haven't messed with it.

So yea, do I just start my car up and look at the guage? What should it read? If it's to high or too low should i adjust it and how? Can It have caused my engine any harm from running to rich for a long time? Also can you seriously mess up your motor if you set it incorrectly?

Sorry for the *** load of question, all help appreciated.

Run a stock FPR. If you want to mess with fuel, have it dyno tuned, which sounds like you probably don't have enough modifications to need.

i beleive it should be about 37psi, at idle with vacuum, without vacuum 45-47, and yes u can damage the motor but if your only 3-4 psi off ur probably not going to hurt anything exept performance.

The Helm states that the pressure should be between 40-47 psi with the vacuum hose disconnected.

ull actually increase performance running rich, but will be increasing emissions

okay so to check it I just start my motor, let it warm up, then it should read the number? How do I adjust it?

Once the engine is warm, pull the vacuum hose from the regulator, then check the reading. You adjust the B&M by loosening the stop nut, turning the screw, then tightening the stop nut again once you're finished.

to the O.P i would suggest like he said if u want it perfect to go to someone who tunes cars to set it up for best performance. If you do it urself it prob. wont be perfect but a little on the rich side is better than alittle on the lean side so u know.

yes because running alil rich is gonna kill ur rings i said that if ur not running pig rich do u really think honda honda gave u the best possible fuel supply you can have? or the best performance with the best mpg they could achieve as its an economy car (more than likely the latter IMO) ur acting like im saying unplug ur FPR and drive around town ull get the best performance ever
