Not sure what your 93 Hatch would run with a B18! Probably get more answers posting this question in the Civic forum.

We don't talk hatches much around here. Unless your talking a 5 door Accord wagon. Then there usually isn't any mention of running an engine under 2.0L ether. That only 2.0L would be an F20B not a B20.... just razz'n

15's for sure. ITs a stock LS, thats not much faster than a stock SOHC VTEC and those run 16-17.

ya what B18?
because thats WAY TOO FAST for a stock motor, unless he has spray or boost.
Or if its like a Type R swap in a gutted hatch or CRX.

WOW! You guys just telling him what he wants to hear!? Or are your local tracks that much better than mine!? (Heartland Park, Topeka, KS- it sux)

If that car was run here WITH SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IT, I guarantee it would do no better than a very high 15 on a good weather day.

If a stock ls hatch can do high 14s where you guys are, I'd like to see what my built 200hp ls vtec with jdm itr tranny could do there!!!! (haven't ran it here yet)

my B18C-R in a ek coupe ran 13.7 with BFG street drags. it was 186whp. the ls is what 140whp if your lucky. and the hatch is a little lighter depending on the year. so around 15.5 i say. if you know how to drive. if you suck at driving 18s

the LS doesnt have 140WHP. its 140HP - 15% for WHP. 15% of 140 = 21 HP. So it should have around 120WHP.

the times can and will very alot, maily on the driver and tires/launch, but your ls tranny has to go, that is the sluggest tranny honda makes as far as DOHC b-series goes, but like one of the guys said, stock LS in a hatch will run about the same a s a SOHC about 16 sec. any faster and your more than stock, or not running ls tranny maybe GSR or sir. maby 15 is you launch and drive well.

I really don't see how this formula works... Assuming 15% loss to find whp on (I'll just use my car) a D16Z6 in a stock 92 Si would give me 106 whp (125*.15 = 18.75 hp loss). But then, say I built that motor and put a turbo on it and was making 300 hp. Everything else stays the exact same. That would mean all of a sudden I was losing 45 hp instead of the original 18.75. Where did all that extra horse go if everything was still the same?

yes, you will lose more power with the higher power that you make. Its a percentage that gets lost, not a fixed amount.

Please don't make these types of threads. There are far too many variables, from track conditions to driver ability, engine state of tune, tires etc. Go to the track, and come back and give some details and ask for assistance in getting your times down.
