what should i pay for a blown engine?
i met a kid today, that blew his b16a2 because it was to low on oil. what useally breaks in this situation? cracked ringlands?? would the head be hurt at all? he wants $700 for it as is, he doesnt even know whats damaged. so what would you guys pay for a blown motor?

Dont buy it. You can get a used motor hell a better motor from a junkyard for much much cheaper I can get a B18 for 500 bucks. check around call your junkyards see if they have a good compression motor for sale in one of there cars.

chances are he spun a bearing. I just bought a 86mm, fully built 18c5 full swap with hondata for 2600 shipped. took it apart and the only thing that happened was he spun a rod bearing. so the fix is simple...new rods(free by trade), and a crank($30 to $100). Like they said though its not worth it for a stock motor
