What should I expect from my D16?
Hey guys,
Just curious to see what kind of results I should expect from my engine build.
I'm sure someone in here is running similar components and would like to see what you guys are running at the track and dyno. Here's a list of the internals, etc.:
D16y8 block, head and intake manifold.
Zex stage 2 cam, with Comp springs.
Factory crank.
Eagle H-beams.
ACL bearings.
JE SRP pistons w/ 10.5:1 comp. and a 2.972 bore dish (20 over ).
MSD 6a, Blaster coil, and 8mm wires.
A/I & Filter.
Hayame exhaust
B&M fuel reg.
55 hp shot of Zex NOS.
Lemme know whatcha think....
Thanks.

i built a 95 d16z6, last year! it's running stock bottom end, and valve train, in a '92 civic hatch, it's beatin 99-00 SI's. I've had the car dyno'd at 155 whp! So i would expect 180hp or in that range somewhere out of your motor!

This is the biggest load of **** ever. First of all a "built" motor has aftermarket pistons and valvetrain. Second...I HIGHLY doubt your car dyno'd at 155WHP. With stock compression on a D16Z6 that is almost impossible. And you should be beating 99-00 Si's stock...they aren't fast unless Mr. Milano or v00tecsi is driving. You will be NOWHERE in the 180hp range NA. With the 55 shot, I dont know. Ryancivic2000 ran a 75 shot on a stock D16Y8 w/ bolt ons and got 181 WHP...so maybe that will give you an idea.
