Default what shift linkage is this?

i just bought a 97 honda civic cx with a b16a2 swap in it. the rod shift linkage(one that has the little split pin holding it on) is square shape towards the tranny end of it, instead of being tubular shape all the way. i was just wondering is this the right linkage for the swap? it shifted fine and felt right but i just wanted to make sure. thank you

the linkage is on the car and im at school, but the end of the linkage that is usually circle shaped, where the split pin is hammered in, instead of being circle shaped, the linkage is squarish.

yeah, i guess so. this may be a dumb question but would the wrong linkage cause clutch slippage?

mine is a tube all the way until it reaches the part that connects to the tranny, then it becomes kinda squarish to accomodate for the size of the connection part. dunno if that made sense. i think it's normal.
