What are the security points on an EG hatch
I am planning on buying an eg or an ek. I want to know some of the weak or easy ways someone could still my car. I don't need info on what kind of security to get but, what is the easy or most common parts of the car that gets broken into so I can figure a way to reinforce it. Thanks.

well I know I've opened plenty of other civics using miscellaneous honda keys. It is pretty easy if you play with it for a bit. I would say I've used my personal key on about 5 other honda/acuras and it opened the door and I know when I lock my key in my car I just walk around the parking lot till I find another honda and wait for them to come out and use their key to open mine. Best way to protect it is with an alarm system or lo-jack
Note: No I do not use this trick to break into cars for personal gains.

For both 5th and 6th gens the method of entry is the same.
No glass needs to be broken. You can just pull the window frame away from the body of the car.
So unlock it, get in the car and then bust the ignition.
Though 5th gens which can be opened by other keys might be an issue, your average thief is not going to check to see if his old key will work on your car. He just wants to get in, start the car and take it or take whatever he wants. It's so easy that there is no point to using a key that he doesn't know will work.
