It doesn't matter what it's called, the guy at the parts counter is NOT going to know what your talking about (they never do).
It's good to familiarize yourself with the parts system that I linked above because the parts counter guy uses those same menus to find what your looking for. If you go into the dealer, you can help guide them to it.
If your going to call them, it's best to simply go by part number. This will get you the fastest and most accurate results. You will just have to look up the part beforehand using a website like HondaPartsNow or Hondapartsdeals.com For Acura you can use AcuraPartsWarehouse.com. Your still going to have to go in to place the order and pay in advance. Most of the parts are not in stock and must be ordered.
Lots of times is easiest/cheapest to simply order from the web-sites. They save you making two trips to the dealer, and they save you sales tax. My local dealers (3 in Las Vegas) couldn't even come close to the prices shown on those websites. Therefore it was always cheaper to order online and pay shipping.

I've known some parts guys to take offence if you contact them with a part number. I don't know why.
My local parts guys are great though. Never ordered the wrong part and I order a LOT of parts.
If you go in and order they can always show you the screen and if you call up to order you can always go back and forth describing the part's appearance to try to be sure.
For example: "I'm calling for a piece on a '98 Civic CX hatchback... It's the thing the license plate sits on. The lights for the license plate are up in the top of it? It's black." Part's employee, "Garnish assembly, rear license. We can get it here in two days, $56.30. Do you want me to order it for you?"
It's seriously that easy.
