What other throttle bodies fit on my 95 Civic 1.6L Vtec D seires?
My throttle body WHISTLES !!! DOn't ask me how, nody can figure out why in hell it whistle but the over all hypothesis is that the throttle body is warped ever so slightly that there is a whole just perfect for whistling. the soud goes away when i accelerate but i get a headache at the stop lights. It is loud as all hell.
Anyway, i can find zillions of other Honda throttle bodies for 5 bucks on ebay and at the junyards but Civic throttle bodies are $40-80

Any B series TB will work on your engine you'll just have to get it port matched.

correct.
And as far as the whistling. Let me guess you have an intake? Alot of civic do that at idel and some do it when there is a lil bit of gas given. it is fine. And as far as it being annoying, just turn your radio up.

Also H and F series. It is really a matter of the sensor location.

the reason your throttle body is whistling is because it has a obvious leak. all you have to do is buy a new gasket and or just seal it up. thats all it takes.
and as for throttle bodies...all throttle bodies are interchangeable...b, d, and h...they all fit and do the same ****. lets pretend you have a ls throttle body on your z6 intake manifold...then you would have to get the "ls throttle body gasket" instead of a z6...to stop the leak.

My D16y7. I got a y8 IM. Before and after, still whistles. I think maybe its our D little TBs, at the light amount of gas, it does whistle, thats the air goin by the plate. Maybe the D16y8 m/t TB would help, the Idle Air Control is on the Manifold on that one, NOT integrated into the TB like on the y7. Don't take any of this info for fact, im givin a good guess tho, my friends with 95 civic VTEC coupes have the same whistle on em too, new gasket or not. Maybe its a D-thing. CAIs only amplify it.
Flame me if im dead wrong.

Yep you guys were right i do have an intake, but there's gotta be a way to make it stop, i can't blast the radio when i got my mom in the car. If you guys are right when you say that any TB will fit then i bet those don't whistle, it would be an all around honda problem, BUT what the ***** is PORT MATCHED? could i do that myself or is this a very NOOB question? Also, is it true that i can just seal it up, somebody here said i could do that but how can i seal up where the air NEEDS to go through?
BTW i just bought the civic so this is all new to me.

other throttle bodies will fit, but be careful, any other throttle body was not assembled at the factory so the mating surfaces from the tb to the intake manifold may not be true to each other, therefore leading to a possble vacuum leak.

Port matching means...
If you have a throttle with a 62 mm opening and the Intake manifold has a 55mm opening, you would have to match sizes. to do this, you'd have to make the intake manifold hole bigger. Yea, its aluminum, so you'd physically have to grind. A drill with one of those wide *** drill bits like a big pyramid. Im sure a shop could do that for ya. its really more of a performance thing, and I do not know if that would be worth it. really, how loud is this whistle, mine aint that bad, only hearable im in paying attention. Get some 2$ carburator cleaner, try that. ya know, spray it down the throttle, while opeining it by the throttle plate, that may cause it, if its got carbon on it. Take off the TB and see if the opening to that and the intake manifold look smooth, flush, and the gasket seals the same widt all the way around. Check that.
