what oil pan for d16y8 and boost? i need help
ok so i bought a d16y8 off a shop that had a bad bearing, i pulled the oil pan and taped it for my oil return and brazed in my fitting. today when i go to swap it with the y8 in my car their nothing alike. and theirs no hole for the dipstic. so their oil pan is not from a y8 and prolly a d15 dx engine.
will this pan still work? can i just drill the hole for the dipstic and be ok?
help me out guys.

y8 uses an aluminum pan that won't fit any other d engine. You need to either tap your pan or find another aluminum pan.
I got an extra off ebay used for $50 when I was doing my turbo kit.

I got a D16Z6 oil pan to fit on my boosted D16Y8. Had to drill out two holes a bit more but it fit.
Kinda leaking though.

Y7 pan also fits on the y8 and vice versa. I kow this cause I have a y8 AL. pan on my y7. Other than that the older pans won't work cause the the oil pump bolts are different I believe
