Can anyone shed some light on what advantages these oil relocation kits give you? I understand that it makes changing the oil filter a lot easier, but is there anything else?

It also adds places to connect an oil temp sensor and oil pressure sensor. I guarantee its the grex/greddy one as i have it on my car also. my engine bay isnt quite as clean though.

i do drain my oil first before it take out the filter, and when i do, it still spills out some oil...that's why i was asking about this one too.

Since the filter inlet is pointed downward I suppose no oil stays in there while the car is just sitting there turned off. In the stock location it is sideways so the oil doesn't all leak out.

unless your running an actual oil cooler I would suggest not using filter relocation kit's. On most of them with an oil pressure gauge you can measure a pretty big drop.
I'm sure you can put a couple of rags under the filter. FYI unless your purging the motor with pressure or suction the oil drain bolt is only for the pan, anything in those lines will stay there.
Also I've seen some engine fires due to leaky sandwich plates dripping on the exhaust.

theres a small drain plug on the filter side though also so that if you mount it sideways you dont spill the oil out. Mine is pointing straight down and after i drain my oil it doesnt spill a drop.
