well a 1.5" drop, i think a +40 would be ok but i recommend at least a +42 like hardboiled said.

I also need some input on this. The Rota C8's I am looking at (16") come in a +40 offset as well as +45 offset. I would like to drop the car 2.25" or so. It will be on coilovers. Will a +45 offset intefere with anything behind the wheel? I heard something about certain brakes not being able to work with such an high offset.

Anyone riding +45 on 16's?

My main thing with the +40 is rubbing. I've read where a few people have the 40+ and dropped around 1.5" and have rubbing problems.

I guess I could always rolll or trim the fenders down

Doesn't a higher offset bring the wheel/tire farther out? I've got 16s with 38mm offset and about a 2.5" drop and i have no rubbing problems at all. I used to have some witha higher offset and never had problems then either.
