Default What is this number?

What is the number below B16A2? also i am looking at buying this motor, but no vin tag = bad yes or no?

no vin tag on the motor is usually a bad sign.

no vin tag on a b16a2 means its stolen espicaly look how shady the tranny looks !!!!!!!................... you get caught with a stolen motor you lose your car for good ......... so JUST SAY NO !!!!!!!!

quite a few people will take off teh vin after they get it (even bought legit) because of course it wont match the rest of the vins anyways...

so it looks stolen? its weird though becuaes the harness, and intake everything looks like it was carefully removed

Hey you never know, maybe it is legit. Do the police bother and pop peoples hoods were you live? If its a good price why not buy it.

no, and the guy seems legit, but its not worth the risk to me to lose my car over!

did you know that if you purchase a tranny or block from honda it doesnt come with a vin? will the police take your car then too, of course not...

the number below the B16A2 is the motor serial number.

depending on your state requirements, it can be good or bad. if you are using the motor for off road purposes, i don't think that having the vin is required.

if you buy the motor, get a receipt and info from the seller, ie vin from where the motor was taken from. As long as you have documentation, you will be okay.

you'd have to hit up honda with the serial and ask if they can tie it to a vin

ya, that would be a start, best and easiest thing to do is to get receipt from the seller, stating that this motor is legit, etc...

i wouldnt even comsider this a option its not worth losing your car !!!!!!!!!!

and for the record reciving stolen property is a felony and for the "oh i didnt know it was stolen" ignorance of the law in no excuse !!!!!

what would qualify for a "legit rexeipt"? he said it was like that when he bought it, but....
