I bought a 93 civic ex coupe like 2 weeks ago for 1000, it has a 96 dx 5 speed tranny and an act clutch. The motor has 182,000 miles on it. I thought it would last me throught the winter but the head gasket seems to be messed up. What should i do fix the head gasket, or just swap a new motor? I dont wanna spend too much money.

i would change the headgasket if your serious in keeping that motor. changing the headgasket isnt hard if you do it yourself. as long as you have the right tools and a manual. the gasket itself is around 30-40$ depending on where you buy it(online, dealership, etc.). you can get new headstuds for about 75-100$ if u know where to look also. just do that now and save up for a new motor later on.
