-I have a Ls/vtec motor(stock) 2000 sir head and 2001 b18b1 bottom end in my garage wit commetic head gasket and arp head studs.
-my brother has a 98 gsr i can trade him for my ls/vtec and put in the civic..

-I want to know if i should keep the single cam and boost it..
OR
-Put in the Gsr or my Ls/vtec..

Re: What motor?
i prefer the lsv. with the lsv you could always boost it later if u wanted more power. the gsr would be ok but not as much torque as the lsv.

Re: What motor?
You've got to ask yourself how much power you want out of your car, and how much money you want to spend.
You already own the LS-V, so why not try it if you've got all the parts? If that's not enough power for you, sell the LS-V and boost the SOHC.
OR sell the LS-V for more than you can put a turbo kit together for to begin with if you're sure you want boost.

Re: What motor?
i have a lsvtec with stock internals running 215 to the wheels mind you i have my head done, cams , cam gears, pulleys and a larger throttle body headers full exhaust
my friend is runnin pretty much the same set up boosted and hes running 313.3 HP
i know people who after doing internals run excess of 500 hp
i am a big fan of the lsvtec
with the proper suspension and tire combo you can run high 11's to mid 12's all day long at 300 hp properly tuned depending on the tranny you use
