What is this molding on my cx?
What is the point of that strip of black molding above the wheel well. Can I take it off? If so, how... I don't want to have paint come with it. Also, is it stock on cx's? I don't really think I've seen too many eg's with them. Thanks

i think thats more so of a protectant than anything. its helps prevents nicks and chips in those areas which reduce rust on the fenders and quarter panels

Just pull it off and use some tar/adhesive remover to get the gunk off. Pretty much everyone with that gen has removed them for the same reason your considering it. Just doesn't look right.

shut up please, this encourages rust by keeping moisture in the fender and it sits there and corrodes

Alright, so it won't mess up the paint or anything?

They're there to help your fenders from being dented. If you look at the options or accessory info on Honda's site, for pretty much any car, it will tell you what they do (basically what I already said).
