intake/intake manifold/header/exhaust
other than that youll be looking into internals (cams/valvetrain/pistons) or nitrous/turbo/supercharger

well your best option would be turbo.
if you want internals it'll be pricey so you can just boost 8 psi on stock internals and call it a day.
and internals doent make too much horsepower on their own. they are mainly used to maintain reliability on higher compression or turbo/supercharged motors.

an almost unoticeable amount, if you dont want to go w/ FI i would assume its because you dont have the $$$ or you dont have the knowledge, either one will keep you from building N/A power.
thats if you really want power, if you just want some good looks, and a little better throttle response do the normal bolt ons.

less than you have now in the low end, maybe 4-5 more on the top end.

There is another option coming that is being protyped now -- a pintle-regulated Venturi. Drop me a line if you are interested.

the best way to unleash power from any engine is by getting Intake/Exhaust/Headers, after that you can do stuff like pulleys, cam gears, Intake Manifold, Throttle Body, then a good Air/Fuel Tuner or a Fuel management system. then you could start working internals like cams, pistons, rods, valve stuff.

That wasn't the question. And who would want that torqueless P.O.S.? Put a turbo on the d16 and you'll be making much more torque than a b16 at way less than half the cost.
O.P. Slap a turbo on that bitch, get it tuned, and have a blast.

Theres probably 10 other people who asked the exact same question today.....thats why you got clowned on! In the top right corner of your screen is a red highlighted word.....use it!
As for the D16...keep it! Theres websites devoted to D-series all you have to do is a little research

Re: What mods should i get for my D16 (honda_tuner10)
intake $50-150
header $180-400
exhaust $200-500
about $500 for the cheapest bolt ons and you get about 10 hp which is about 110-115 whp total
i built a turbo setup for about $700 tuned and im pushing hopefully 180 whp
had this setup since april

Which d16 we talking? And no you don't have more than what he said. A d16y8 has "127hp" which is to the crank i believe, translates to like 103 or something wheel. My a/t 00 EX was dynoed after bolt ons, stage 1 cam, cam gear(yeah i realized it was a waste) and it went up to 113. that's a/t. tranny swapping to make probably 130 wheel. summary: turbo!! if you don't want anything drastic, i can tell u a stage 1 cam gives me an overall acceleration that's better than stock, but nothing to wow about. Just gives a little more kick. read up on piecing together a turbo kit and call it a day. If you want to go n/a, pm7 pistons, engine rebuild, stage 2 cam, uberdata and a GOOD tune and you'll be pretty much done with what a d16 can do high compression. probably 150-160ish this way. It's cheaper to do but you'll have to run AT LEAST 91 octane, but 93 minimum is suggested.

Whatever route you take. there will always be somebody faster then you.
Our D16Y8 is stock but boosted with a GReddy 15g turbo, some upgrades tunned at 10 PSI and it's at 202 WHP for 3 years now & Still getting 33 MPG
Yes there are faster set ups, but I'm pleased with what we got and that's all that matters. It's your car. Do what pleases you and enjoy it.

Re: (honda_tuner10)
yeah D-series.org is probably the place you want to start checking if you are as set on d16 as i am. butt since it's a honda and this is honda-tech... (i'm gonna assume you don't have a D16Y8) y8 intake mani, y8 head (mini me) or a cam regrind, chip the ecu, intake is good, exhaust is good, loosing weight is good (in the wheels too), keeping fresh oil is good for power, porting and polishing, you can bump your compression with some different internals...by the way if you do this you need to run higher octane gas. power steering pumps use power, if you can live without it and drop in a dx rack... you can free up some power. i haven't tried it but some folks say undersized pullies help.
that's all i can think of off the top of my head...other than tedious stuff like blueprinting and excessive wieght removal. have fun with the D, it's tons easier to work on in my opinion.
