What is a missing link?

if you are using an fmu, then ya. it goes between your IM and the map sensor. prevents it from "seeing" pressure and throw a code
edit: if you are getting a greddy kit, then no, you use the blue box that it comes with

No, search around, you can make a check valve that eliminates the need for one. If you want it to look clean, then get one i guess.

Going to be running the vortech fmu for a while...i guess the missing link is needed. Does it just go right in? Or do i have to do some cutting?

if the fmu is a temp setup, you can make you own check valve, ghetto missing link, with some 1 way valves avaliable at your local pet store in the aquarium section. search ht, its probably been posted.

as long as it works, its cool.
check valves, hoses and ends, couple of bucks.
missing link $40-50
i would just use check valves becuase you only plan to use the fmu temp. you need several though.

Re: What is a missing link? (wowsers)
haha. i actually tried using three check valves in place of a missing link. gooped the t connections to the port on the throttle body, some vacuum line connecting it.
lets just say it didn't work too good.
