What are the main reasons wheel bearings go bad?
I posted earlier about how to remove and replace a front wheel bearing on a 94 EG HB.
but before I replace it i want to know some of the reasons wheel bearings go out, before i replace it so it doesn't go out again. Because i've heard you can replace it but it can break again. Why?
Thanks in advanced for the help!

if its not pressed in straight. well IDK if it was pressed in right or not cuz the A**holes at the shop were in a hurry
if you used a cleaning solvent that washed out all the bearing grease out of it. havent used any
if you hit something I know i havent hit anything cuz i love my car... can i pot holes damage them????
if you bought it on ebay and its made in sweatshop in china. i bought them from Autozone

what kind of bearings are they? if you bought the cheapo's from Autozone you can expect them to fail eariler then others.
Also, if they pressed them in incorrectly, expect them to fail
The biggest thing I've seen, things just don't last for ever. It's the fun of owning a car. Things break/wear out and you replace them.

Ive heard if your alignment is messed up that could be one of the causes, also cut springs and i probably need a better camber kit? is this true?

Over-torqued spindle nut
Bad tires (as in you have a bad belt in the tire and it makes the tire "walk" around, seriously the reason why my WB failed)
Bad Axle

Wide tires will destroy bearings. It puts an uneven load on the spindle, so instead of the force being directed straight down onto the bearing the force is along the spindle, contributing to uneven distribution and leverage against the bearing face.

Not entirely true. Wire tires with wheels that are the incorrect offset, yes. If you pair a proper offset wheel though, it won't cause that problem.

Bearings can also be faulty from the manufacturer from the get-go. I just replaced the napa ones I had one of which was either faulty from the factory or just pressed wrong. Did OEM and now no more noise.
