Default What kind of temperatures are we really generating at our brakes?

Did a search on brake pads and stuff but most of the topics were just talking about selecting brake pads.

There are so many levels of brake pads like for e.g, Project Mu :

Bestop - 0-350 deg
Type NS - 0-400
Bforce - 0-500
Type HC - 0-700
HC Titan Kai - 0-800

etc...

I'm assuming 350 max temp is not enough for track use but is 500 enough? How about drag racing.. maybe going about 5-10 times in a row. Will a 0-500 brake start fading after 5-10 times of hard braking?

I don't really have a 'perspective' on how hot it gets after how many laps/braking so it would be great if someone could give me a yardstick of sorts.

All comments welcome. Thanks!
