IMO the easiest way to do it would be to find a body at the local auto recycler and cut the pieces off that.
Also being that different auto makers use different guages of metal, and this being Honda Tech, you might not get much more help...

just to help. the thinner the metal the easier to shape but more chance of warping the new metal and original body. if you use a thicker metal it will absorb more of the heat and less chance of any warping however it is sometimes harder to get shape back, i would no matter what use thicker than stock tho, that crap is thin as hell. they use stamps and dont need to worry about heat warping the panels.

20 gauge sheetmetal seems to be the number 1 sheetmetal used (atleast at my autobody class) and it comes out pretty good. Just tach weld it and should be fine.

I don't know about SELF-adhesive....but, 3m and Lord (Fusor) make adhesives that are OEM recommended for replacing certain panels . The products have been crash tested and certified by the OEMS. Welds are prone to corrosion. Some welding may still be required, though, depending on the extent of your patch. A full quarter will need some, prolly. The procedures are outlined by the manufacturer's in their manuals. Search the link I gave above for more info on the repair. There are pro body guys on there.
For the Glue Info...I got the gun to apply it for $40

SEM makes some stuff called weld-bond its good for putting on new 1/4 panels. Still some welding where you have to section it. But the bond works pretty good just be sure you have plenty of clamps before you start.

then goto customer service, then demo cars. look at the mini. they used the 3m adhesives for the kit. check it out they use 2 differant ones depending on what the are bonding to.
