Dude, don't bump your thread 20 minutes apart. First of all, makes you look like a douche. Second of all, if someone has an answer, they will post it. Otherwise, just wait or do more research.

No sense in doing this half-way. Do it right the first time and you'll not have to mess with keeping a hacked together build in one piece.

Unless you plan to run high boost, there is not really any need to change out your rods. Even just a set of ARP rod bolts should be all you need.
As far as OEM pistons go.....
- ITR pistons have "less" compression than PR3's
- CTR pistons are high comp, but the dome is so high, you often don't get a complete burn
- my choice would be the jdm 2nd gen b16 piston.....the P30

Re: What kind of pistons will fit on pr3 rods
well i bought the ycp ctr pistons and they dont fit on the pr3 rods i have and it sounds like the same problem as the nippon pistons. is there any way to machine a small amount of material off the end of the rods to make them fit into the nippon or ycp pistons? its only about 2.5 mm too big.

Ya I'm not an expert or anything that's why I was asking if there is any way it's even possible to take off that much material. I'd like to know what the max amount I could take off if any.
