Default what kind of lip should I get?

should I go for fiberglass AM, AM Carbon Fiber, or oem?

My car is a 1997 honda civic ex coupe, milano red with a ~3 inch drop.

The only OEM lips you're going to reliably find are the "SiR" and 97-Spec CTR lip.

Other than that, get urethane. Carbon is really prone to nicks and scratches ... and breakage. Unless you drive your car with kid gloves, it's going to happen.

Just so you know, if you're looking for aftermarket urethane, JdmSh!t is the way to go.

Real-world shots of both those lips (like, the exact ones from that manufacturer):

The choice is yours. I ultimately chose the SiR lip over the "Mugen" lip.

I don't buy anything off of ebay for my car unless it's a name brand item from JDM-IN-STOCK (he's got 100% positive feedback, over 20,000 transactions).. That's a good business to deal with.

No thanks.

TO ERAN

Do you use Meguiars Vinyl and Plastic Cleaner (# 40) & Protector for the plastic parts on your car? Like the splash guards, mud flaps, lip, etc..?

How long have you had those Pass. JDM fog lights? I want ones just like those, but I'm afraid to buy them since I've heard so many bad things about them on H-T.com

Did you paint the housing inside of your headlights to get the inside the black color, or ?

I actually uses Meguiar's High Endurance tire gel to dress my trim before any big events (shows, meets, etc) ... but for just regular dressing, I use Meguiar's NXT Tech Protect. It's a little longer lasting than the #40.

As for my foglights, they're not PW:JDM. They're ESUSE (discontinued) with a factory switch and switch harness. Also they're painted yellow with VANS yellow lens paint. I like them just fine, much better than the DEPO kits (ie, PW:JDM) I've had experience with in the past.

Those old headlights were actually black plastic. They were made by DEPO as well. I traded them for stock ones because I was tired of how they looked. They were a pretty sweet setup though. No reflector (not just removed, there plain wasn't a place for it), and they had city light sockets.

Ebay. Deop lights.

Jdmsh!t's fitment is good. Why take a risk on Ebay when you can go with a reputable company. I got my ctr style grill the next day.

As far as keeping the lip in good condition, i'd just paint it. Most oem honda colors can be bought in an aerosol can at autozone/advance. With good prep work and multiple light coats it can match perfect.

I'll hold my tongue about DEPO lights .... well, not really. Some say they're fine, I say they're crap. I've experienced them firsthand, and they were nothing but problems. Managed to find three pairs of ESUSE, and they're all running with zero rust or grounding issues to this day. No burnt out switches either.

Also, I am not a fan of rattle-canning body parts. Wheels, I'm a freakin god at painting those ... but rattle-can paint matching is hit and miss in the same way winning the lottery is hit and miss.

^^ really? i've never had a problem with paint matching stuff with duplicolor. The frost white eg i did some mirrors on in Phoenix turned out really good.

Paint scratch deals in superior paint and I have to order some of it in an aerosol can for my tafetta hatch. No one stocks the duplicolor cans.

Damn me and my rare hatch color.

White and black are a LOT easier to match out of a rattle can than say ..... red or blue.
