Re: what kind of engine is this?????help (black7hatch)
my bet is B18B from a 94-01 Integra LS... They are non VTEC DOHC 1.8 ltr engines, with actually decent low end torque, compared to a B16 at least...

If its a 1.8liter with no v-tec then its most likely an LS aka the motor from an integra LS or GS or RS blah blah blah.

Then it's a B18B1 from an Integra. 1.8L DOHC, non-VTEC, 145hp/140tq (roughly) and a great platform upon which to build a turbo project.

Yeah, I've seen a few LS-T's and they're hot ****.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, at OP - It's an LS motor. Out of an LS Integra...or GS...B18B1/B2 94-01.

It's unnecessary to be an ******* about it. 142/145, whatever.
If you really wanna get technical about it, 142 or 145 doesn't mean JACK **** because neither are actual WHP #'s and a engine HP number doesn't mean ****. And if you still wanna get technical about it, not EVERY engine off the assembly line has 142hp, most of them don't actually. ALSO, if you STILL wanna be an ******* and get technical about it, overtime as seals go on an engine and more wear & tear is added to it, its HP decreases as it's not as efficient 300,000 miles later. So that engine DOES NOT have 142hp, I can guarantee it.
Like I said...you don't have to be a dick about it...
