What intake manifold is this? d16y8? Also IACV question about this IM
I need to get a 2 wire IACV to get rid of my code 14 i'm throwing. Can I use this manifold below or do I have to get a different one?
Car is a 2000 d16y8

Looks like an automatic 99-00 D16y8 intake manifold to me.
EDIT: Auto because it lacks the IACV on the back of the plenum, and a 99-00 because of the air injection ports.

well the auto has a cold start vacuum on the front of it which this one does NOT have...although you see the vacuum hose there, there is no plug there for it.

Looks like a manual manifold to me. In this picture I think thats the IACV on the bottom right corner:
Also, I have an auto y8 manifold right next to me and on the back it reads: P2K IPT-3. On the manifold here it says P2P IPT-2.

i am pretty sure its a 98-96 d16y8 auto IM,
i have a 96-98 manual IM infront of me now...it reads p2k ipt-3.....i really don't think the numbers makes a difference....not sure but, it may just be the casting numbers...(it might be just for year differences or factory differences...who know....have to ask honda! ......the only difference between auto and manual im is that in the back of manual IM there are holes to mount the IACV where the auto is just undrilled and un-tapped....(if you want, you can take an auto im and drill and tap it to convert it so u can mount the IACV on the IM to make it an manual manifold.....i think the manual and the auto use the same castings....only diference is that 99-00 and 96-98 has different castings)
the biggest difference is that the auto IM has the IACV on the TB, and the manual IM has the IACV on the IM it self (on the pics given there is a big empty spot where the IACV should be.)
The IM is a 96-98 because the flange where the IM is touching the head is curved....if its from a 99-00 it should be flat in order to house the air injection holes
here is a site with pics: http://www.geocities.com/joeyp....html

My car ran a bit funny without the IACV hooked up before, but nothing serious you can't go a few days on til you can fix it.
Actually I think it's a 99-00 mani based on his picture. The top view shows a hose coming up from the manifold flange inbetween the 2nd & 3rd intake ports, which I believe is the air injection nipple only found on 99-00 versions...which is fine since he has a 2000.
Why not just pick up an IACV for $20 and drill the manifold you have. It's pretty easy, I did it with my Y8 auto manifold.

exactly i agree with the 99-00 due to the air injection.

Re: (LSturboEH2)
somehow i am thinking that its from a 96-98....The difference can be noticed by the top surface next to the injectors.
96-98 is webbed (likes this: n_n__n_n .....the "n" being were the injectors sit)
99-00 has a flat top (like this: ---------- .....its flat because they had to make room for the air injection holes, if u look at the im when its off the car...looking at the part where its mounted on the head....the air injection holes are above the fuel injection holes)
look at the pics here and you will see: http://www.geocities.com/joeyp....html
