Default What Im working with...

Figured Id show you all what Im working with...Its stock except for gsr struts, neuspeed springs, and an si cluster...still has the cx motor. Give me some ideas on what to do.

Also, how long does it take till I can post more than 5 times in a 24 hour period, I feel I have good information for a lot of the threads on here but I can't post it!

it looks like to me the first place for you to start is to get some new window molding for your front winshield

i have some for sale

but anywhoo your car looks clean
i think a swap ould suit your car perfectly
go with a ls if you are strapped for funds
or go with a b18c1 or a b18c5 fi you have
a little more funds available

or if you really want to go extreme and be a little
different swap in a k20a in

I think the CX motor is great. It gets great gas mileage, has a super long tranny and keeps you out of trouble.

Save up $6,000 and do a K20A-R with all the goodies when you need to go fast .

good start, nice hatch. now yank that damn 70hp queer outta that engine bay and stick something else in there. even if you dont have the $$$ for a dohc swap, put a Z6 or a Y8 in there. i drove a cx around for about 4 months, and it was probably the worst 4 months of my life. i had wheels & suspension, so EVERYTHING would punk me cuz they thought i had a swap. point being, do something to make it faster than the 18 second car that it is!

nice platform though, looks like a good find. also, how much did you pay for it, and where did you find it?

if you are really strapped for cash, a z6 swap can be had for very cheap. it wont be really fast or anything, but it will be a hell of a lot better than the cx motor.

if you can though, deal with it till you can afford a b18c.

Im proud to join team teal lol. Anyway, I picked it up for a cool 2 grand from some dude in Michigan. I actually bought it through ebay. The body is nice but there is some cancer on the rear fender wells. The chassis has 135k and the motor has like 60k.
It runs really well though so Im just trying to save money for a swap...I dont wanna half *** it with a z6 swap unless I find one for cheap. I can get a complete gsr swap for 2500, but Im kind of interested in the h22a...they are pretty cheap and all you need is the swap, new mounts, and thats it right?

for the h22 there is some wiring issues also. you can post more than 5 times a day after you have been a member for more than 20 days. your car looks good, if you like the h22 swap i say go for it it pulls really hard and has lots of torque when you want it. good luck

you will also need custom shift cables and 90-93 integra axles or some dss axles. it will end up costing you more a good bit more than a b18c swap unless you find some deals on used swap parts.

Mint hatch......
I would seriously swap the motor. Even a sohc vtec for now if you dont have a lot of money.
You should also think about droping the car a little more, you already have hot rims. Slam the crap out of it.
Buy basic bolt ons. I had intake, headers, exhaust and an ACT clutch and I was smoking GSR's with a DX in my hatch.

Nice start.

I would get a y7 head, make it into a mini-me vtec. Then give it a nice turbo.

teal rocks.

i would put everything else aside and save for the motor, just like everyone is saying budget and get a motor that you can afford. if possible i recommend any b series.

good luck, and keep us posted

the only problem with that idea is that the y7 is non-vtec .

anyway, depending on the budget, i'd either a b18b or b18c and turbo it.
