What i need for this EG
Hi guys, i just sold my DA and purchased EG sedan Today (same day)
This is a stock car and the owner said it needs a new radiator.
Since i want to use this car as a delivery car... what things i have to do with this car?
I want a fun, fast, and durable car... eheheheeee
What u guys think if i replace the radiator with KOYO or another BIG Radiator?

Yeah... maybe stock radiator for now.. i don't think for swap right now..
The A/C system is totally broken, maybe i'll remove the A/C components to make some room on the engine bay..
how that sounds?

A stock raditor will do fine. I personally wouldn't remove anything unless I'm doing something major. don't forget it get's hot in Cali, so get your a/c system checked out if you decide to keep it. It probably needs a re-charge.

Re: What i need for this EG (Kingfish714)
the A/C fan stuck to the A/C rad or kompressor or whatever it called.
Yeah, i didn't take out, just cut the belt to gain some Horse & save gas.. ehehee
btw, i start to use this car and i feel like there is no power....
Compare to my EX-91DA integra (mildly modded) = damn like sky & earth
Compare to my 87 integra = this civic still the loser...
is there something wrong or i just don't get used to it...
you guys know... integras are dohc....
AND, what is the easiest (& cheap if possible) way to gain weight reduction?

Re: What i need for this EG (94hondacivicvtec)
I have stock engine (According to superhonda.com, it's D15B7)
sohc & non-vtec.. so sad....
so, what intake & exhaust i should get?
u know, before i use 87 integra for work, i can deliver 4-5 package in 1 way.... now, no way i'm doing that... customer will complain.. hahaa

why do you want an intake and exhaust.. that's a waste of money... 17 second car now, 17 second car after. Sounds like you should be spending your time improving your fiscal situation, and not wasting it with a 90hp honda.

cutting your ac belt will not give hp on a bone stock motor. when remoing the entire ac you'll lose weight which will raise your hp to weight ratio. exhaust won't do much unless you throw on some good headers and go about 2.25 inch piping all the way to the muffler. get a cold air intake. get urself an integra throttle body and port match it to the intake manifold. that's probably the only cheap things i can think of to get u going a lil faster. possibly some lighter wheels as well. if you drop an ls motor in there, it'll be cheap and will get u some decent torque. then u can drop a turbo and ftw.

Re: (perseverance)
Keep it stock and get your A/C fixed.
You're not going to see any noticeable gains from an aftermarket intake/exhaust so don't even waste the money on it (unless you want your car to be louder).
Easy thing to do would be swap in some kind of B-series...that way you'll have a "fun, fast, and durable car".

Re: (95hatchcivic)
You can either buy a B-series from a motor distributor (not sure if that's the proper term, but oh well)...or go to a junkyard and try to find a wrecked Si, GSR, LS Integra...or anything with a B-series.
I picked mine up (whole car...with B18C1 motor, transmission, ECU...and a full Rockford Fosgate system in the trunk) for $800.
You can find them for cheap, but if all else fails...buy from a distributor.

Bolt ons are a waste of time unless your a hardcore N/A guy with a b series or a K swap. D series respond horribly to boltons (Excluding turbos)

Re: What i need for this EG (GarageAlchemist)
No, it's not about fiscal situation... it's about more power... u know how its like when u drive ~130hp, then u drive ~90hp.. I feel like something holding my car..
Maybe i might get d16z6 like u guys said.. or B-series
btw, i've never swapped my car with different motor.. somebody said it's illegal..
that's why i wonder how everybody do it here and never get pulled over by POL**E
before, i swapped my blown 91DA with another stock motor, only the year is different, it was 92 b18a..
thx for the help guys..

Re: What i need for this EG (stevoslav)
as long as you swap in a same year or newer engine in your car in california it's all good.
If you're going to spend $400-800 for a d swap, go ahead and buy a b18b. You can find them for about the same and it has much more potential.

only if the motor was made the same year of the car or after....
ex: you have a '92 civic and swap in a motor that was made in '92-current year your fine.
