Default What the hell is wrong?

Hey listen i have a 93 Honda Civic w/JDM D15B swap with a chipped p28 ecu that had B16 maps in it.I currently bought a chip from someone here at HT and swapped it yesterday but ever since my car runs like ****.I mean it has p08 maps now.Also for some reason i cant manage to set my ignition timing right,no matter how i move it i could never get it centered,basically its timing is retarded.Any help please since im desperate to fix this TIA

dude it has got ot have something to do with the chip that u got from some one else. gonna sound meen but when u put a new chip and it runs like **** thats normaly a sign to whats worng.. just take it to ur local shop pay the 200 bucks and get it tuned rite.... thas what i would do.

Hey also can anyone help me with Igniton timing? I mean from what i know your suppose to set your dizzy to the middle red line on crank pulley which should be at about 16* in my timing light,is this correct? cuz now that i installed chip i cant get it at that 16* setting.

Just run a virgin P28.

Or get crome free and a burn1 and burn a P28 map. P28 = D16Z6 = JDM D15B Vtec

Without a tuning software like crome, crome pro or hondata etc. then you have no idea at what the program on your chip has idle timing at.

You should really get a stock map or stock P28 for that motor to work out bugs and you really don't have anything on it to necessitate a "custom" map. If you want it to run good take it to someone that can tune it and pay up.
