what header/exhaust manifold for 96 dx?
stock dx engine has the cat right off of the block. and there are two o2 sensors. i dont feel like looking at a check engine light. any headers that house both o2 sensors without having to change the exhaust so a cat. will fit?
and i dont think the lower one will reach to the back of the header where i see most 2nd o2 sensors.

or is there a simple way to cheat the ecu from looking at that 2nd o2 sensor?

There is no aftermarket header that will use both 02 sensors and not throw a code. The reason is the second one is checking to make sure that your cat is functioning properly. You can get a 02 simulator and the CEL won't come on, but I'm not sure how it deals with the 02 sensor heater. Anyone have any more info on this??

screw it. its dumb tring to make a slow engine fast anywayz....my friend wants $450 for his 2000 ex swap..... engine, tranny, axels, ecu, blah blah. but i have to take it out...and he said that it would grind real bad in 2nd, but he thinks it is because the rear engine mount is bad. i think it is b/c the tranny is bad.
might be worth the money?

Just get a good EX tranny and do a mini-me swap on the motor you have. I've got a turbo y7 and hit high 13s on street tires.

you have stock y7? or vtec head.. or just y8 IM? what kind of car do you drive? i see you are in NC... not very far from me. ever come into high point or kernersville? i had a red 94 hatch with d16z6 stock boosted at 10psi w/ greddy kit and hondata...and a dsm SMIC. made 200whp and 195wtrq... never made it to the track though . to do a mini me on this.. would cost me as much as buying my friends... might as well buy the whole thing for 450. need a y8 head, timing belt, y8 head gasket, ecu, ex tranny(helps), i am already over what it would cost for my friends stuff. and while it is out, might as well install a better clutch.
i thought about doing a y8 IM swap, a better clutch/tranny... and then home-making a turbo setup. do you know if a HF manifold and a 15g will clear stock a/c?

I'm in NC, but never get over that way man. I've got a y7 block and head with the Y8 intake mani. I don't think the hx mani will fit and keep a/c without an adapter. I've got the 15g kit on my car and love it to death (in a 97 hatch).
