Default what is going on!!!

my car is a 1993 d15b7 del slo and ive had my headgasket changed 2 times over the past 18 months the last time being 3 months ago and now its blown again, im taking it to a repair shop close to my house that a friend used to work at. im scared to take it back as it seems like hes not doing a proper job, is he not machinging my head? why do my gaskets keep failing after he installs it? could my cyclinder head be in that bad of shape that even machining cany fix it? any help greatly appreicated, i dont know what to do...

Head sounds like it needs resurfacing, probably warped from overheating (Have a reputable machine shop do it)... Hopefully it's not too warped to resurface the head after all of those installs of multiple head gaskets..

This is true but I have seen people strip out head bolts the gaskets will hold for about a day

My friend found a Z6 for 50 bucks we later found out the head bolt was striped
but he lucked out and the head warped its self shut ha can u believe it.

take it some were else sounds lie dude might be ripping you off I have changed head gaskets tons of times I can get em resurfaced for about 40 bucks

I think this guy might be screwing you over also there are steps to tightening the head bolts maybe he isn't doing it right and forcing the gasket out of one side..

does anyone know how much is costs to have a cylinder head pressure tested? and also the cost of resurfacing roughly?

also when doing a headgasket job what other gaskets are needed to be replaced, is it absolutely necessary to replace the intake manifold gasket and valve cover gasket etc? the ones in there now are only 18 months old...
thanks!

Do you change your radiator coolant frequently?

Or perhaps the radiator itself?

also they do sell head gasket sealer at advance auto farts & auto zone, napa

if you can get a hold of a torque wrench take the valve cover off and check the torque settings to see if there right.....

something I have head the other day makes me think

this guy said if you pcv valve is bad it will blow gaskets I think it might be bull spit
because the hose would blow off before the gasket I would think....
