Icon2 what a few more ponies from my SOHC....

i have a d15b7 auto.
all i have is an aem ram intake
and some pos exhaust muff. the kid b4 me had.

is it worth putting a cam, valve springs, vtec, ls system, headers, catback if possible! lol

or should i just buy a dohc?
a b20 or so...

the only thing with the dohc i dont what to change my tranny it's a lot of work getting all new **** linkages, harnesses, ect. well give me a few ideas or should i just keep working on the exterior & not worry about the motor?

by the way it's an ej2 just in case you were wondering?

will have pics. up soon to give you a mental image i have mugen front lip, side markers (wired the jdm way) , fog lights, and an ex/si cluster. no rims looking for some though black with blue lip, corner amber city lights, usdm tail light (love'm).

The auto tranny is going to hold you back, plus the D15B7 isn't a good starting platform. And a welded on fart can sucks, any exhaust over stock will sound like complete *** on an Auto

Huh? Hard to get new shift linkage????...I think not. You can use a 94-01 Integra shift linkage. Nothing hard about it.

I would convert that thing to a 5-spd if I were you..Thats the only way your going to have any potential..plus its much more fun to drive.

b series fo sho!
i may be wrong but i think its sorta hard to find an a/t b series.
not very smart at swaps. lol
if not, do exterior, thats all i care about. and my car is sloowwww.
the only performance i have is intake, because that makes it pretty and makes the motor f*ckin loud.

I'd do a B swap..the B20 is a good engine..but even it will SUCK *** mated to an integra auto tranny in your civic. To get anything out of this car performance wise man your gonna need to a 5-spd conversion, to do a B-swap your going to have to get a tranny anyways. Even that D15B7 would be more fun with your car being a Manual.

As for the Y8..there again if you stay auto its going to suck. My dad has 2 auto civics, he has those Auto Civics cause my mom don't know how to drive a manual. Both are 94s, ones a 2-dr EX, the other a 4-dr DX. The 4dr is an auto D15B7 and the 2dr is an auto D16Z6, and driving them back to back I can't tell a difference in power.

humm i didnt know that, cuz i just got a new half shaft on my pass. side and alignment like three weeks ago, i always wanted a 5spd. but what about cutting the pedal everyone i talk to says that's the hardest part, and being that i might swap the tranny would i need to change my ecu?

just put a d16z6 swap in it and through a 14b turbo on it. make sure you do a 5spd swap. no automatics. you will need a manual trans ecu even if you keep the d15 or i think you can take your current one and have it reworked to work with a manual trans.

as far as bseries, i have to say unless you are going to do a bseries with vtec (b16,gsr, or type r) i dont think i would waste my time. i've road in different cars with ls and b20 swaps and they are not impressive to me. they are torquey, that's it. now add some boost to either one of them and you could have an easy built monster

but it seems like you don't have alot of experience so i think i'd stay single cam, plus they can be made fun also

definitely full swap..b series motor and tranny..i wouldn't even spend time or money swapping in a d tranny just to find out its still not good enough for your liking..

If thats labor thats outrageous! If that includes the b20 then its too good. LOL You can get a d15b8 which is the JDM equivalent of a d16z6. This will give you 130 hp at the flywheel and be more than you got now. You can get these d15b8s for about $800 shipped, do it right with timing belt, water pump, new cluth and you'll have about $1200 in a powerplant that will last you a long time.

then you will have to get a vtec equipped bseries or mod the other choices.

Although with an auto tranny all will feel slower than they should plus honda auto's are not very reliable when it comes to power and abuse

If you want power, you are going to want a B series, and do a manual swap at the same time.

thats a pretty awesome price as long as they do their work properly, the littlest thing can mess up vtec so they should figure that out also!

Dude dont even spend a penny if the car is auto! I promise u will regret if u do so. I have a DC integra b18b1 auto. Raced against same integra with manual trans he got me like by 3 cars. His was bone stock mine i got few things on it. But now i started my project currently building b20z with GSR head and GSR MANUAL tranny. If u dont really want to mess around with linkage and pedal assembly and all that crap just sell ur car and get what u want. Will make it a lot easier!
