what engines bolt up to the s40 transmission
tbh I dont even know if I have an s40 my current engine is a d16y8 its matching numbers in my 97 civic ex-sedan but wires are giving me a bad time I just want it out but I don't wanna pay for a new transmission ,I'm not here to hear about what transmission should buy or"just get rid of it"I just need to know, thinking about a b20 from a crew at the junkyard it runs great, but if it doesn't fit in cool with that, what engines fit????

FAQ section has FAQ's. Google has write ups. We are here to provide FREE tech support, not mama bird information that takes up at least half of the interwebs. Do your homework, come back when you have a question more specific to a MECHANICAL issue or a non easily searchable compatibility question.
