Any B-series will literally "bolt-in" the same as any other. But wiring it up is where the work comes in.

how much work is not too much work?? it took me 16 hours in 2 days with hand tools to do the b16a swap in my home garage..or u can have a shop to do it for u for $500 ~$600 usd... b series ..h series..d series..are all direct bolt on..it is how much u are looking for to spend..
and for your question to b16a into cx without vtec..just dont rev over the rpm where vtec engages..

Well, assuming you have a vtec ECU.. then youd be all set. But you cant run vtec on a non-vtec ECU

All engines bolt in via engine mounts. When it comes down to wireing up everything is when it becomes tough. It's very easy to miss somthing or have somthing that doesnt work. Then you have to spend extra time fixing somthing that you missed 3 hours of work earlier. Just dont take shortcuts, and have a few people help you. Make sure to ask any question you have on here or to someone who has prior knowlege on it.

Re: (JayKayNidas)
Go with an LS motor. Its a good starting point. Cheap, easy to find, and very easy to install. Then, if you want vtec later on, you can build an LS/Vtec motor.
