What engine block should i get?
Hey, so a few weeks back i had a timing belt slip. and crush my number 2 pistons agaist the valves. first of all it was a gsr head ontop a type-r block. So i got a few questions: first of all forget tryn to replace the pistons on the type-r block. to much money. you guys think i can just possibly fix the valve unit on the head. assuming there is no dmg to the casing? VIA machine shop of course. i can carry that bitch in there. 2nd question... could i possibly sell my type-r block as it is? only 3 pistons are worth a damn. 3rd question: what type of b18 block should i put my gsr head on? thanks

1st answer: you expect us to tell you if something is fixable without seeing pics of the damage?
2nd answer: you can sell anything you want
3rd answer: search

I'd go with an LS block, unless you mean block & pistons. Then it may just be better to buy a GSR bottom end, repair your head, and u'll have a full GSR.
