I just bought a head and I'm wondering is there any way I can tell if its from an EX? The guy says its from a 1996 EX d16y8, but is there a way I can actually look at it and be certain? And it just says Honda on the valve cover. Also, I'm pretty sure theres a vtec soleniod on there too.

Also, can I use any ECU from a 96+ SOHC VTEC, like can be from manual tranny because I have an auto in my car.

first ? - look at the block, it is stamped D16Y8

second ? - ?!?!?!?!?

Edit: **sticks foot in mouth** sorry i thought i read you bought the entire engine, not just the head..
