Default What engine???

I looked at a 95 civic coupe tonight that has a engine swap and it says its from an si so it has vtec, but it doesn't say vtec on the top. What engine would this be and approximately what year would it be around? Also for a grind into fifth could this be fixed by changing the tranny fluid to syncromesh? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help, but for the grind into fifth what would I possibly have to do replace to get it fixed?

check your tanny fluid lever if its low then put some more tranny fluid in it. if it nots that then you should just get any tranny cause it being a sohc you can find one any where for really cheap.

If the tranny fluid isn't low it's likely a synchro going bad. Best bet is to replace it. Synchromesh will only mask the problem. (although some have said it fixes it for them)
