Hey guys i have about $400 to spend and i wanna do something to my car its a 94 civic si SOHC vtec with I/H/E, Toda racing cam, tokico blues with H&R's,both upper front strut bars, the rear lower strut bar, rims, spoon brakes, GREAT interior, GREAT exterior

so basically i am at the point where i think there is nothing worthwhile to do to my car except for a sway bar, and an engine swap

what else can i get???? what are lower control arms used for? do they help the suspension

ehh..... There is soooo much to do...

1. What is your intent for the car? Show / 1/4 Mile / Auto-X / Daily Beater / etc.

2. Search

3. Sell the I/H/E and use that money and the $400 to get a turbo (probably a junkyard kit).

4. Get a CF Hood and front lip.

5. Get some dents pulled or rust fixed.

6. I could do this all day.

The lower control arm holds the strut bottom and has the lower balljoint. I dont see how a better one would help any but then again if someone can help out and tell why, then maybe it does. But if you had 400 bucks I would buy something else. Have you thought about gettin engine work done such as port/polish, bored over or internal work? Although I'm not sure if many people bore their engines. Its just an idea to work with. Best of luck to you.

for that price i would piece together a turbo kit. ive seen a custom kit made for about 500 for the d16z6. it is the best horsepower per $$$ upgrade out there. it will make more of a difference than the lower control arms and sway bars

I didn't realize Toda made anything for the SOHCs.

And bboylito, there is ALWAYS stuff to buy. For a start, I'd browse the Classifieds and the Marketplace on H-T. I know that I certainly come across things I'd like to have

i have the Honda cd player and radio because i dont want to attract anymore attention btu i am happy with the radio so i dont really want to upgrade it. I am going to get a sway bar and eventually an engine swap so what else can I do now!!!????? THANKS

$30 can get you a nice 11lb battery.

Then I'd sell those tokico blues and invest in something better.

wow, not much more you can do to that car, as far as the interior and exterior. its nice to know that you have the proper anti-theft devices on that car. a club and an autolock? good job man. i would just put it in the bank and DONT TOUCH IT. trust me, youll prolly need in further down the road when you get your b-series swap. you can always spend an extra 400 on tuning or a vafc or something.

Well in that case I'd sell your Tokicos and pick up some Koni yellows.

Either that or buy the Comptech rear tie bar/sway bar combo.

Save that $400 toward whatever swap you'll be doing.

The junkyards. I was at the Upick Usave yard in Pamona-naH the other day and they had an older turbo eclipse with Turbo and SMIC still intact. And from the type of cars and the way people were diggin through them I think that stuf will be there for a while. Then you find an old HF or STD maifold($20) and get an adapter plate and you got the base of your system. the rest is chargepipes a BOV and fuel management.

get nitrous thats hte easiest and cheapest way to get some power, with your mods and 65 shot you will pull on b16 swapped civics all for 400 bucks, i say get the naaaaawwwwwzzzz
