What Ecu are you useing for your b18c gsr powerd eg? want to know what ecu would be best to run..... my set up will be I/H/E and chip.. thank you

Depends on if your going to be using the secondaries or not. If your going to leave the stock intake manifold on than the p72, if not than a chipped p28. Or you could use the p28 with IAB control added if you were going to keep the IAB's. I have a chipped p28 with IAB control with the knock sensor disabled.

Wouldent a chipped P72 be better than a chipped P28??? bec with the p72 u will be useing secondaries with iab controler....

i'm running the JDM P72 in my swap. i hear that it only goes up to 180kms/hr though. works well for me so far (I/H/E...basic stuff...) without any problems..

I got a poor mans r and running a chipped p28

I tried a friends stock p72 the other day and it seemed
to NOT pull as hard as the p28

And my boy put my Chipped p28 in his gsr/eg with I/H/E
and said that it pulls harder with the p28

So im gonna say chipped p28

there are a lot more ready made programs for the p28 it seems and its cheaper than buying a p72. As far as the p28 pulling harder, its hard to compare two different cars with different setups with the butt dyno. The p28 one may have been missing the iab control and made it "seem" faster due to the weaker lowend .

if you get the thing custom tuned and chipped, it won't matter anyway. The bonus of the p72 in my mind (beside the iab control if you keep the stock intake mani) is the knock sensor. It could save your engine some day.

if i go with a p28 ecu would it be wise to chip it with a mugen maps if only runing basic mods I/H/E or would chiping it for a stock gsr be better? thanks for all the help im realy leaning some thing

I dunno forsure, may depend... i got this off hyperducktuning...

Mugen program
VTEC: 4500 or 5000 or 5700rpm
Rev limit: 8200 or 8800 or 9000 or 9500rpm
Dyno/Tests: Runs fairly rich, good power. Knock sensor disabled. Excellent program for all out power. On mild applications it tends to run rich.

i think that guy is in toronto. I'd just ask for a stockish gsr proggy now , then do all the mods you're going to do then roll it on a dyno and get a true custom chip done up.

i have 99 JDM B18C and i noo that the p72 ecu came out of a gsr with less power and vtec come at a diffent time and soo on than the engine im useing... would that mean buy useing a p72 ecu on my engine it would not be runing to its full potential? prity much what im says is would the engein run better if it was still in its original integra with its given ecu than it being ran with a obd1 p72 ecu in a civic?? thanks agine

this is the program i have on my p28, running in with a poor mans r with
I/H/E and it definetly runs very rich (blows a lil smoke from the xtra fuel)
But i like it alot, Like i said before i recently tried my boys stock p72 and it
did not pull as hard (big difference)
