I think the 96+ DelSol VTEC has an OBD2A P30 ECU, or you can get a 99-00 Si OBD2B P2T ECU with an OBD2A->OBD2B conversion harness

I could be wrong but i think you have to have an si ecu, without a jumper. i think they wont pass a jumper.

For it to be completely legit, the motor has to be the same year as the car or newer. so if u are running a 92-95 b16a with an obd2 ecu, i dont think the ref would pass that.

i cant use a 99-00 Si obd2b P2t ECU because my harness is different, and i cannot use a jumping harness since the ref will check the ecu.
So is there a OBD2A USDM b16 ECU? If so do you guys know the ECU code?

The thing is that i have a obd2a chassis and engine harness and a P2T is an obd2b ECU, so therefore i cannot use a P2T ECU unless i get a jumping harness. In order to get a car bar'd in california, you have to a stock USDM ECU without a jumping harness and all of the emission sensors for that chassis and motor year. I have a 1997 ek, OBD2A, and i understand that I have to get a 1997 motors or new inorder to bar'd the motor into my car. Therefore, I want to swap and bar'd a b16a2(99-00 SI) or b16a3 (Del Sol)into my car but the thing is that i cannot find a obd2a USDM B16 ECU. The only car and ecu that i could think that would work is a 1996-97 Honda Civic Del Sol, but i am not sure what the ECU code is or if there is even a USDM OBD2A B16 ECU.

on the contrary....................i BAR'd my 99 LS in my 99 coupe with a jumper because the 99 LS is a OBD2A and my car is OBD2B..................they will pass it

To answer your question, Yes there is an obd2a P30 ecu out there but remember you will have to use the USDM ecu, not jdm p30. USDM P30 ecu are really hard to find. Best bet is, find someone with an USDM p30 (odb2a) and rent it off him and go ref it then after you pass just slap on a different ecu on.

I just swapped a b16a2 in my 98 ek. LIke the other guy said my cars is obd2a and the ecu(p2T) is obd2b therefore I need a obd2a ecu to run properly. So the ecu has to be usdm and not jdm? why is that?and the gsr ecu p72 wont work?

use a jumper to run the P2T. Ref can't say **** about jumper harness.
P.S.
don't know why, but most ref ******* hates honda.
