Default What ECU do I need?

If I put a D16 vtec head on my D15. Can I use my ecu?

you can but you have to get a vtec controller.. or wire vtec to a shift light...other wise if you want vtec you have to use a p28 with an ex harness

Thanx. The head is off of a 97 civic ex.

well if your going to use the obd2 dist. u need a p2p computer out of a 96-98 obd2 ex

you will need to get an obd1 distributor if this is being used in 92-95 vehicle (obd1)

either that or you will have to rewire the distributor pins and get obd1 plugs (you can use the ones off of your d15 dizzy)

using an obd1 dist will make you life easier....alot easier...so try to do that

go with a p08 ecu if you have the d15 bottom end. I have them available if needed.

its a bit more agressive then your p28 (leaner fuel maps) and the rev limiter is set at 7400rpms (i think)

if you are putting a 97 EX head on a 92-95 DX block, use a 92-95 Civic EX ECU (P28) and use the d15b7 distributor
