the rear (and maybe front) suspensions are different. the ek ex's come with rear disk where eg's it was a seldom taken advantage of option.

Go with the eg. Looks better IMO.

the rear (and maybe front) suspensions are different. the ek ex's come with rear disk where eg's it was a seldom taken advantage of option.
The rear uses different LCA's that are shorter, that's about it as far as suspension differences. The Front has a different shaped upper control arm, but it's very similar, just bolts up differently.

The shock forks are different.

I don't think i've ever seen an 96-00 ek with factory rear disc, only the Si's. The 94 and 95 ex's were available in an EX-A trim level, which had 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS. The 92-95 si hatch also came with disc brakes. I don't think any Ek's were available with rear disc until 99 with the Si.

The engine bays are different on the two cars. In the EK, you will have to get a lot of mounts and brackets and such from an Si to make the swap work. The EG is much more simple. Only requires a different rear bracket and A/C bracket than that of the civic. Also, throttle cable, a few other minor things.

Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm all about not spreading misinfo.

Swap it yourself..it's cheaper and you learn alot more about your car that way....EG's my choice of car...B18CR is my choice of motor..
