Default what does it take to have a/c??

so i wont to install ac in my 96 hatch that has a 1999 si motor swap with complete 99 si wiring. what exactly do i need to install ac.

i think you need the ac compressor, condensor, receiver drier, lines, brackets, belt, and wiring for the 99 car (your motor). use the 96 evaporator and interior stuff. should work. but i've never done it myself. research my opinion more

drop me a pm and i'll post oem part numbers tomorrow, give me your engine year and make it came from and your car info. also tell me if you have ac in your car already?

hey let me post the numbers later...this site kiced me off or somethin after i had like almost every oem number for you for the entire ac system. i was almost done but IDK what happened to the site stuff. all my other sites were still online so i know it wasnt my internet connection.i'll get back to it later today.

so went to the junk yard today and found only one 98 civic ex and took out the heater core some lines that were attached to it. i also found an EG coupe that every thing for A/C. so i was wondering if i could use the parts from the EG onto my the ek?

well your best bet would be to get parts from a place like autozone. its really not a bad deal. some stuff for the ac system you dont want used. youll spend more money repairing the system in a ac shop. get new lines/hoses, a new condenser and evaporator core, receiver/dryer, and expansion valve. along with ac O rings (the green ones). the condenser fans, relays, and bracket for the compressor and blower motor with the evaporator core housing and heater core housing go ahead and get in the junk yard. if you get the heater core in the junk yard have it pressure checked in a radiator shop. but first see if yours is the same one. it very well could be. if yours is good and the right one youre in luck

no problem dude. i just hate when people have problems from not having a clue on what they need to do. and i believe that real car guys should help each other out when they can. glad to help bro
