it allows gas from the crankcase to be sucked into the intake manifold to be burned. why do you want to remove it? it helps with emissions and fuel economy. i dont see any negatives to keeping it

what does the pcv valve do?
PCV- positive crankcase ventilation
it allows the crank case pressure created by the reciprocating assembly to be evacuated by way of manifold vacuum

can it be removed ?
no it will cause premature ring failure and other issues.

what would you need to remove this bitch off the engine? and would I want to remove ?
to answer the second half of the question, NO
there is a very good reason it is there and without it, your engine is in for a world of hurt. some racers do remove then BUT they instead use a reed valve and use the outgoing exhaust to create a venturi effect to remove the crankcase gasses.

you can also route an oil catch can in between the PCV and the intake manifold. keeps the oil blowby from going back into your intake and lowering your octane level.
