Possibly a bad valve cover and spark plug gasket?

bad valvecover gasket and spark plug tube seal. about $20-30 to replace.

may want to change plugs, too, since it was bogging due to a fouled plug.

It could mean numerous things, I have a few questions to get a bit more info,
Is there oil on top of the piston?
What is the compression of that cylinder? Since the problem has started
Is your car burning oil? (blue smoke out of the exhaust)

Like said above it could just be bad spark plug hole gaskets.
What motor are we dwaling with?

if it was on the top of the plug its most likely a valve cover donut gasket. anything under the plug is most likely a HG or rings like delsolo stated. perform a compression test and let us know what your numbers are

i know to do a compression test thanks but i was wondering if i can narrow it down but i guess im going to be doing a compression test thanks but the sorry part is that a compression test is not gonna tell me if its coming from the headgasket or rings or maybe even the valves

Well if it is one of the 3, youll need to pull the head regardless.

ok well if you were getting substantial amounts of oil from a leaking gasket you would most likely feel a cut out, or jerk. so that most likely isnt the case i guess. sorry for you luck man.. but GL on the fix

I have a similar problem, 1995 Civic Si D16Z6 engine.
Just replaced all 4 plugs and found oil fouling on all of them, shot a torch in the chambers and can clearly see black shinny oil on the faces of the pistons.
Now I'm hoping that as it is affecting all 4 chambers and dont really get much smoke out of the tail pipe then I was thinking either Head Gasket, Valve seals or even crack breather system.
The only time I notice a little bit of smoke is heavy rev at the point where the VTEC kicks in.
Any help greatly appreciated.
