Default What do you think? should i worry?

well driving last night on my way home i wasnt really paying attention i was goin about 60-65 and downshifted to 4th and passed someone.... ok that went fine.. because i was kinda tired and just relaxing i was shifting into fifth and kinda went to 3rd... my ECU is chipped with no rev limiter and some other crap (i didnt have the ecu chipped it came with the engine)...

i dont know what speed i was at when i shifted to third.. i think it was probably around 85ish.. not sure.. but as soon as i felt the revs shoot up i pushed the clutch in...

i dont think there is any damage at all.. but you know when soemthing happens you tend to notice already existing sounds and stuff more.. yea well i dunno im paranoid right now

no loss of power, no different sound from the exhaust.. i drove it another 35 miles or so after it happened.. im thinking tops i revved to like 8k TOPS like very very very tops.. but im guessing in the range of like 7000..

Stock B18b, intake ,exhaust etc...

like i said i dont think theyres any real problems... but im extremely paranoid about it right now and just wondering if anything could be wrong but i just wouldnt notice right away

just somewhat of a rant lol.... i guess i pretty much answered my own questions but id like input of your past stories or whatever you want

If you didnt go higher then 8k then your fine. Actually if you went to 9 you might be ok with a valve adjustment. But if you have to do something to make sure its ok, do a valve adjustment.

Even if your ECU had a fuel cutoff, it wouldn't have mattered because you mechanically overrode the rev limiter through gearing. You would have still overreved the engine regardless.

You most likely didn't do any damage. At the very most, you may have bent some valves, but you probably would know whether or not you did by now. To be 100% sure, do a compression test - but I doubt there are any problems.
