What Do You Think About This Intake Setup?
Ok, I was messing around trying to find the best way to mount my intake. This is what I came up with. It is actually mounted backwards and I'll have to use a breather filter for the head. Before you say anything, yes, I'll get a bigger coupler to secure the intake to the TB, this was what I had lying around.
Lemme know what you think or if there are any other ways that you can think of.

move it to the other side
BTW try placing the intake behind the headlight using another intake tube

I have looked and looked at these pics and I haven't been able to see any other way to mount that particular intake. Have you tried picking up a cheap K-series intake??

move it to the other side</TD></TR></TABLE> This would work. I'm thinking this would be a better idea than we are currently looking at. I'm sure the area between the engine and firewall get pretty hot with the ex mani right there. I'm sure that the air your currently sucking in isn't too cool..

The bend is honestly not that bad. It'll look alot better with a longer coupler.
This is actually how the aem v2 for the rsx mounts. Except, the filter sits just below the MC. And they call that a cold air.
Let me find a pic.. one sec

Re: (hennessy)
Rotate the filter and tube 90 degrees. Then it will be pointing down behind the rad and getting fresh air from air moving under the car. Prolly not see much of a difference when not moving, but should help when the car is moving. That's the best I could think of . Oh, with that bend in the tube, it looks as if it might still be able to stay above the rad hose like it is now.

Re: (litterbox)
Are you committed to using that intake?
Injen's CAI looks like it goes behind the headlight. The pic in the link is for an RSX-S, but by the looks of your engine bay, it will point the filter in a possibly cooler area.

Re: (litterbox)
Thats a CF Revolution intake, Correct me if I am wrong. Never seen anyone mount an intake like that before. I use to have a Revolution, but it was WAYYYY bigger than that !

Re: (EG_Civic_GSR)
IMO I would suggest somehow getting it in front of the radiator. I'm not sure how k20 intakes are, but by looking at that it looks like it would suck up even more hot air coming from the header than if it was near the intake manifold in the front. Either way, it prolly wouldnt make that much of a difference
