Re: what do you know about the EK? (VTEC_PRODUCTION)
i dont beleive they made a si ek because the 99-00 si was called something else, i may be wrong. the ex and lx ek had a sunroof but i am unsure about the rear discs. on the eg's the ex had rear discs on the 4 door but i dont beleive the ek ever did

yes they did make one if is called a 99-00 si or em1. it is the only ek body aside form a type-r that has rear discs and there was a sunroof option.

Then to answer your questions.
No Civic HB in those years cams with a sunroof or rear discs in the US that is. They were cheap trims/models so thats a hint (CX,DX). And no SI was made in HB. Only the EM1 (99-00 Si coupe).

Re: what do you know about the EK? (VTEC_PRODUCTION)
good luck with that your best bet is to jus go out and buy a usdm cx/dx or what ever you can find that is in good condition and has a sunroof and then jus find a rear disc conversion and put it on that. it will be cheaper and easier to do that than to find a ek9.

Why do you care about authentic? i thought you wanted rear disc brakes and a sunroof only? Anyways, heres your import sites. btw, youre still going to have to worry about shipping costs, licensing and registration along with the price of your imported authentic EK9. ( just in case you didnt know)
have fun!

if you have money to spend like that, by all means, but its certainly not cheap to import an "authentic" car to the states and legally drive it.

maybe not. but as far as registration and all that goes ive talked to the DMV here and they said it was alright. its just the cost of the car and shipping that will cost. but for some its all worth it.

Re: (VTEC_PRODUCTION)
dude i could be wrong but i was always led to believe that it was ridiculously expensive to import a car...the license and paper work is not that bad but the shipping is going to kill you it would probably be about the same to go out and buy a new car but idk. best of luck in what ever you decide to do

Re: what do you know about the EK? (VTEC_PRODUCTION)
Well if your going to import on with rear disc and sunroof. The EK9 is not an option then. The type R never came with sunroof. You'll have to settle for a SiR or VTI

Man, forget that trendy JDM import rhd hoohah which will cost you as much as a new car anyways. Get a nice 96-00 hatch (EJ chassis) and rig it up with the goods you like, almost everything in the way of amenities from the Si or EX coupes can transfer over to it.
On my 98 I have full factory power locks/windows/mirrors, Si cluster, also full GSR disc brakes at all corners & an ITR booster and master cylinder. That stuff is easy to do and cost me probably $1000 max for all of it. You can also graft a factory sunroof onto it, it will be lots of work but is doable and will be more unique even than an RHD. Cost varies depending on how much you would do yourself.

Re: what do you know about the EK? (kaiba)
Where is NOFX or Eran when you need them. For an EK9 your probably looking around 20k imported and everything.
